Today, this experience is known as SUMMIT, our reinvention of a 21st century liberal arts education that prepares every student to be an effective change agent in a global society. Under SUMMIT, every student – guided by their own personal board of advisors – designs an individualized course of study and co-curricular activities that develop leadership abilities. In addition, 100 percent of first-year students go on a faculty-led global journey (included in the cost of tuition) to gain an understanding of complex global dynamics and their role as future agents of change. Our Scotties call this experience life-changing, a guiding force in their undergraduate journey that steers them toward their true passion. Named the “No. 2 Most Innovative Liberal Arts College in the Country” by U.S. News & World Report in 2018 and a proud member of Colleges That Change Lives, Agnes Scott graduates students from 46 states and 34 countries who are bold, capable, ambitious and compassionate, with a 95 percent graduate school acceptance rate and 56 percent of job seekers having a job offer before graduation. If you think college should be transformative, this is where you belong.
Emily-Davis Hamre serves as the Assistant Director of Admission at Agnes Scott College. After graduating from Agnes Scott in 2015, Emily-Davis joined the admission team so that she could help students find their best-fit college. She loves working with students from around the world and encouraging them to think deeply about what they want out of their college experience so that they can find a place to call home for their next four years. As a women's college graduate, Emily-Davis also loves sharing the benefits of attending a women's college with students as they go through their own college search process.
