Maria Iniguez serves as the International Freshman Admissions Specialist at Brenau University. After graduating from of the Instituto Gabriela Mistral A.C. in Tamazula Jalisco, Mexico, Maria immigrated to the United States. She believes that learning changes people’s lives and has continued her education acquiring an array of educational certificates from many Institutions and organizations, including the University of Texas Health Science Center. As an education professional, Maria has worked for over eighteen years to assist high school students and their families in the college selection process. Working with international students, Maria experiences the significance of collaborating across cultures and she is particularly passionate about helping young women gain access to higher education. Maria enjoys supporting and assisting students with the application process through registration. Her skillfulness in both English and Spanish are an asset to the Brenau Admissions Office. Maria has witnessed firsthand the many benefits of attending a Women’s College and feels honored to have her daughter attending Brenau University whose primary focus is to develop and empower the future leaders of the world. Maria says, “Helping students is my passion. Brenau has given such great opportunities to students from countries around the world, and I’m fortunate to be able to play a part.”
