Brilliant Future.

The campus has produced three Nobel laureates and is known for its academic achievement, premier research, innovation and anteater mascot. UCI has been ranked the nation’s 9th-best public university in U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 list of “Best Colleges,”. This is the fifth consecutive year in which UCI has placed in the top 10. UCI has more than 36,000 students and offers 222 degree programs. We believe in nurturing the innate and varied talents of students who are infinitely curious, think courageously, and see things differently. Our students are supported in the achievement of their education and life-preparation goals by world-class faculty and staff.

Faculty-mentored research and creative activities have become integral to a UCI education. As early as freshman year, students have one-on-one interactions with world-renowned faculty, applying research methods to real-world applications, and developing the skills and knowledge that will lead to successful careers. Research is available in every discipline, interdisciplinary program, and school.

We are located in the city of Irvine, a major technology and business hub with diverse communities and highly educated residents. Irvine is consistently ranked among the safest cities in the nation. Our campus offers easy access to cultural activities, surfing and sailing, hundreds of miles of bike and hiking trails, desert camping, and mountain resorts for snowboarding and skiing.

Hi! I’m Pimjai Santatiwat.

Greetings from University of California, Irvine (UCI)! I’m Pimjai Santatiwat, the Assistant Director of International Outreach in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. I grew up in Thailand and had an opportunity to move to California to complete my undergraduate program as an international student.  The experience of moving to a different country and transitioning to a U.S. college has helped me understand the value of international education, community, and being a global citizen. Southern California has eventually become my home.  I thoroughly enjoy all that it has to offer including hiking trails, beautiful beaches, multicultural food scene, and not to mention, Disneyland.

I have been serving the international community for the past 12 years at both public and private universities.  I am excited to help you through your college application process and welcome you to our UCI Anteater family!
