Founded in 1910 as the Bowling Green State Normal School, BGSU is one of Ohio’s “Four Corners” institutions.

BGSU offers over 200 undergraduate, 54 Master’s and 17 doctoral programs in its seven colleges, and enrolls approximately 20,000 students on its main campus in Bowling Green, Ohio. There are approximately 1,000 international students at BGSU, representing 80 countries. BGSU offers strong programs in Biology, Business (Top 200 in the US), Education, English, Fine Arts, Industrial/Organizational Psychology (#3 in the US), Physical Therapy, Psychology, Public Affairs, Rehabilitation Counseling, Sociology and Speech-Language Pathology. BGSU is also home to the only undergraduate major in Popular Culture in the United States, and also has unique programs in Criminal Justice/Forensics, Architecture (including both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels) as well as Aviation Studies. BGSU is home to over 300 student organizations, and sponsors 18 athletic teams, in addition to several club sports and intramural sports options. 

BGSU also has great opportunities for its students, to start their career opportunities even during their studies. BGSU guarantees undergraduate students who complete the Falcon Internship Preparation Program, and meet the required criteria, the opportunity to participate in an internship or other experiential learning activity.

Our application and admission process is easy.  Bowling Green State University require a minimum TOEFL score of 71 (or 6.0 IELTS) and your combined grade point average of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0.  Students who take the SAT or ACT are eligible for merit-based scholarships, but these tests are not required for admission.  In order for your test scores to be automatically uploaded to BGSU, remember our school code is 1069 (for TOEFL and SAT score reporting) or 3240 (for ACT score reporting)

ABOUT ME


Hi! I’m Jon Erdogmus.

Can (Jon) Erdogmus is originally from Turkey and has been living in the USA for 18 years. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing, and a Master of Business Administration in International Business from University of North Alabama. He has worked at both public and private US universities/colleges as an international student recruiter and advisor for the last 12 years and enjoys traveling around the world to meet with prospective students and share his experiences as an international student. Fan of all Cleveland sports teams, and enjoys Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays games as well.
